No, before you start, this isnt a lorica segmentata or w.e thread lol
Just wondering, had the fall of rome never come, what would armor have looked like? My best guess is that it would have never gone into full plate, though I cant really base off any scholarly examples right now.
What do yall think?

why would you think that? the greeks were using bronze curiass (which definately counts as plate) 100's of years before the Romans came up with LS...

If I am correct, there is a big difference in the designs between Greek Bronze and Iron plate vs. the kind we saw in Western Europe much later.

Full-plate probably. Steel will always end in full plate, because it allows steel crossbows, ergo steel armour is needed.
