had that happen to me with another user recently... don't know what did it but found its viewable if you're not logged in! - just difficult to reply to

his post says

This game is crashing at the end of Romani turn, all 1.1 fixes have been applied. Any help is appreciated. There doesn't seem to be any specific thing that I can point to, it just crashes as soon as I hit next turn.

File is here: kaybeeonline.com/publicupload/Quicksave.sav

Thank you Makanyane, and thank you Alinroch for your report.

I suggest you first take a look around the map for any cities about to rebel. Use toggle_fow to see the whole map, and make a note about which faction did stuff when the game crashes. Check all the cities of that faction for the pitchfork sign by double-clicking on them, as well as all the cities of the factions that are after the one in turn. You could just check them all but it may be tedious, and it might be unnecessary.

If you find one or more cities about to rebel, try to make it/them not rebel by any means necessary. These means can be to reduce its population (add_population <settlement> -4000 a couple of times), take over control (get the force diplomacy unofficial mod) or teleport over a unit to lay siege to it (move_character <captain's name> x, y).

Ignore/delete this post please. I should probably make my own thread, even if my problem seems identical.

It also appears to be viewable if you're in Internet Explorer, but I can't open it with Mozilla Firefox.

And Alinroch, I've tried out your save. I didn't work it out too much. When I tried it, I made all your rebelling and revolting cities back into content ranges, but the game still crashed. Tried it three times. Crashed first time at Saba, second at Sauromatae, third at Saka.

Something about exceeding maximum executing times for PHP on line xxx perhaps?

Anyways, loads for me in Firefox 2.0 but I'm not logged on there.
Doesn't seem to cooperate with MSIE 7 even though I'm not logged on there either.
Neither will it load in Opera 9.2.7 which is where I am logged on.

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /usr/local/etc/httpd/forums.totalwar.org/vb/includes/class_rpg_core.php on line 911

The staff has already discovered several problem threads. It seems to be related to certain JM accounts, although I don't understand why specifically these JMs would create bugged threads. Please let us know when you find more.
