Using greek_infantry_thorakitai with Pontos

I'm trying to give Pontos the ability to field not just its own pontic version of the thorakitai(which is fine in the east) but also the ability to field the hellenic version of the thorakitai. I've added pontos (ie. carthage in EDU and such) to the faction owners of the hellenic thorakitai in the EDU, made it so that the buildings can create them, and even went into the UI folder so that they didn't look like peasants on the strat map. When I try to start a battle with hellenic thorakitai as part of my army, however, I get this error message:

"Failed to find texture: eb/data/models_unit/textures/EBUNIT_AYMAR_Scortamareva_LUSITANIA_large.TGA"

It obviously doesn't exist in the folder, but I was thinking that there must be an existing .tga file somewhere in the EB folder that is equivalent to what it's lacking, and I could copy and rename it to the above name and put it where it needs to go. Also, if I read the DMB correctly for the "Lybian Late Spearmen / Greek Thorakitai / Scortamavera" area of the file, I'd have to add a line or two under the area for the model, and might have to copy and rename another file found in eb/data/models_unit/textures/hellenistic.

So anyways, any suggestions on what I need to do to let Pontos use greek_infantry_thorakitai in battle? Maybe I was mistaken above and don't need to do all that stuff in the DMB file.... :oops: :help:

I am not 100% certain, but I believe the pontic and the generic thorakitai use the same model, which makes it impossible for one faction to use both units.

I guess, though in my view they didn't look remotely vaguely similar like you can tell with lots of other models and such. Very well then...

I had just looked and noticed that too and I was about to say something...I don't know, maybe some obscure model didn't make it into the public release and fell through the cracks, as it were?

:wall: :whip: I figured it out. In the DMB, underneath the "; Carthaginian infantry - Lybian Late Spearmen / Greek Thorakitai / Scortamavera -------> MISSING MED/LOW/LOWEST" area for the unit(s) I took the texture part and the model_sprite parts for the greek_cities, copied it, and changed the faction to carthage instead. Works normally in battle now.
