View Full Version : Princesses and Marriage...just a few questions for CA?

Personally, I already keep close track of the age of my King and Daughters. I rarely allow a Princess to expire w/o marrying her off. My basic rule is once a princess gets to 29 its time to marry her off. First choice is the Kings/Heirs of allied factions; Second, are Govenors (4 acumen or better); Third are Generals (taking into account the highests rank in a stack, experience and v&v; Fourth, ANYONE with decent acumen and v&v.

I have a lot of "royals" running around. Which I believe is good for a variety of reasons (which are yet to be proven!). Loyalty is one, Royals s/b less likely to turncoast; AND I hope Princess should help to produce better generals and/or v&v.

CA, could you explain the less obvious effects of marrying princesses? How deep does MTW track lineage? Do princesses married to non-heirs produce royal prodigy?

Do these, also, in turn produce royals, though far far removed from the line of inheritence? Are this prodigy more like to be "born" as generals and/or generals with "better" rank and v&v? [I think this s/b so, which would give greater purpose to marrying off your princesses!]

I believe I've notice a number of unit leaders with the "royal" icon who weren't remotely close to becoming king. I presume, this leader is more loyal, even if he is far far removed from the line of inheritence. Are there any other benefits to being of royal lineage?

Thanks!
