Maps for Barbarian Invasion

I think everybody knows about a fantastic map called Magnus Mundus (http://internetwars.ru/Rome/Minimods/Images/map.gif). It's a totally new, much much better experience. I can't imagine myself playing on smth other than this.

But the question is - does anyone know of smth similar for Barbarian Invasion? Because the default RTW:BI map seems too... approximate, too simple now that I've tasted such treasure like Magnus Mundus...

As much as I know there is no similar map made for BI ..
But with little of modding you can change the Mundus Magnus map for BI ..

Mundus Magnus has already been ported to BI. It's not quite as well designed as the R:TW version, and does prevent the Sassanids training their top level infantry unit (normally it being restricted to their starting homelands).

You can find it here (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1406&act=down). You'll need an application such as 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) to open it though due to the file compression format not being supported as standard by Windows Explorer.

Well, unfortunately it ain't going well. I completed all instructions written in readme, but in the provincial campaign menu I have the problem: I click on "Magnus Mundus" in the pane, then I click the arrow down-right, and I got the message, smth like "Please choose an item from the list"...

Wild shot in the dark... Have you patched your BI to 1.6?

Yes, that's the deal. Patching BI to 1.6 and RTW to 1.5...

I got the patch but during installing it gives this error...

Will try to figure it out, maybe downloading the patch from another place will work...

Well thanks to this thread (http://internetwars.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1162&highlight=) the problem's kind of solved. The thing is I tried to install the patch after I changed the original RTWBI's files with files of Magnus Mundus for RTWBI. So it didn't want to install since it didn't find the original files.

I restored the backuped BI folder and the patch installed ok. Though I used the localized patch with Rus translation, as I guessed.

First it was RTW 1.0 (Rus localization from 1C), then I put RTW BI (same 1C) and RTW went up to 1.3 and RTW BI was 1.4. And then the mentioned localized patch which brought me 1.5 and 1.6 respectively.

Hope this info will help someone in the same trouble.
