This is my second compaign and I'm stuck again. I 'End Year' it exits to desktop. I've updated drivers etc.etc. to no avail.

My first campaign was in Early times and got to the 60% mark(yr 1220) , shortly afterwards, I could get no further. Now I'm in High, and I cannot get past 1270. I do have a theory though...............

Both times, I noticed that there was a crusade style marker in Islamic nation that I assume was them launching a Jihad. Although a Jihad had not been announced yet. It's a bit off the wall I know, but I have had very few crashes to date, and I'm stuck at the same point in an entirely new campaign. This is the first time that a Jihad marker had appeared in both campaigns, surely it's not a co-incidence.

I have turned off all the options next to the mini-map as Teuton recommended, and it still crashed. Sigh !!!!!!!!!

Any suggestions (and humourous constuctive criticism) will be apprecited.

I had the same problem: a Jihad was entering into a rebel province -> Exit to desktop. I fixed it by attacking this province and bribing the commander of this province.

thats happened to me a few times. what you can try and this works for me everytime is load the turn previous to the turn your game crashes on and hit esc. then hit resume game then when you hit end year it should not crash. hope it works for you.
