I know there is a built in Movie Maker I think for M2TW Kingdoms, but anything for MTW/RTW?

Yep, there FRAPs (http://www.fraps.com/buy.php) for this sort of thing. It definitely works with R:TW and M2:TW and should, theoretically, work with M:TW and S:TW due to their usage of DirectX - one of the two supported graphics technolgies (the other being OpenGL used primarily by cross-platform and open source games).
Sadly it is commercial software and the free version comes with numerous limitations. It watermarks all screenshots and movies with the "FRAPs" name, has limited length recording time (max 30 seconds) and all screenshots can only be saved in ".bmp" format.
These can be removed for the price of 19.76 Pounds Stirling (which is 37.00 US Dollars and 23.87 Euros at the current conversion rate).
If you're more technically orientated, and do not wish to pay for the licence fee, then Taski (http://taksi.sourceforge.net/) may be of a greater interest to you.
It's open source, but development ceased two years ago, it doesn't support sound recording, the documentation, as with many other open source projects, is not complete and professional support is non-existant. Also, due to its age, it doesn't support DirectX 10 - this won't be an issue on XP, but on Vista this may be a little problematic.
As a general rule, use the latter at your own risk.

Yes there is FRAPs. But he's talking about the in-built one. You'll need to add the switch-command/line whatever you call it to the end of your shortcut.
-movie_cam
Like you would with -show_err etc. What you do is you save the battle replay and when you play it back you can move the camera in a much more free way, it does take some getting used to but you soon get the hang of it after you mess around with it. I think (haven't used it for quite some time) you use the numpad to move around in and some other keys that I have forgotten over the past 6 months.
It's what the "Pro's" use to get those "Pro-motional" screenshots. :2thumbsup:

"C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\kingdoms.exe" --features.mod=mods/teutonic-movie_cam
Like that extacly? not working for me :sweatdrop:
I'm actually not too sure if it works on Kingdoms, or M2TW for that matter, now that I think about it.

if it does, you need a space between the end of the path and the -movie_cam.
IIRC that is.
