In my KH campaign I have reached Italy and there is no sign of the Romani. The Lusotann hold the Italian peninsula southern Gaul, extending into the Balkans while the Carthaginians hold on to Sicily.

Has anyone else ever seen this? I have seen discussions of the "Yellow death", "grey death" and "white death" but never such a dominance of the Lusotanns.

Sounds like the Luso's have gotten lucky for once, in most of my games they tend to bum around portugal for a few decades before getting destroyed or stagnating. I assume you haven't used toggle_fow or anything at any point, do you have any previous savegames from your campaign so you could see how it happened?
Keep us posted :2thumbsup:

A version ago, this sort of thing happened in my Sweboz campaign. They smashed the weakened Gallic factions and reached northern Italy and the English Channel. I had hard time their hordes of fast, high quality infantry. Not only does Spain have good ports and a lot of mines, the Carthies probably built level two mines in Southern Spain before the Lusotanns captured it.

Good luck!

As I am hard of understanding I don't know how to screenshot the map.

Press Print screen on your keyboard. Start mspaint and paste into it. Crop away everything but the map and save as either BMP or JPG. Finally upload to a hosting service such as Imageshack and post it here.

Crtl + V is a shortcut for paste, to make things just a tad easier.

When I saw death by chocolate, I thought you meant you got beat by a horde of Ethiopian and Nubian soldiers.

Wow, luso getting that powerful. Don't see that everyday.

I thought the same thing, actually.

This is interesting. lusotanan cnquering all? that cannot be:drama1:
they must have been really lucky against the Qart-hadestim, and the world according to koinon shows us that the AI is random. I do have to say that many if not all y EB campaigns have been the opposite. (I got to see a picture of this if you may)

(I thought this thread was about ancient ice creem flavors or something:wall: )

The Lusos have the potential to become a real superpower in EB:

- Once conquered and set up with mines all around, Spain can become an economic powerhouse.

- Their line up is very similar to the Roman Legions - not the worst in game, for sure.

- Of immediate enemies they only face the Carthees, which are very weak in Spain on game start.

- After getting the Poeni out of Spain Lusotania will be left alone for decades, at worst facing occasional Aedui or Arverni invaders, whos' armies are no match for them.

The only real enemy in the West are the Romans, and these might be sticked to the Alpes for most of the times. And even when not: In a war in Southern Gaul of the Lusotans controlling all of Spain against the Romans holding all of Italy, my bets would not always be with the Romans.

I have seen it in my own Roman campaign: they have conquered all of Spain save for Arse (Karthagian) and one rebell town and are offering a much harder fight than the Poeni, Gauls or Germanics before due to their excellent units and their strong economy.

I've seen them take the whole of Spain and start into southern Gaul, but they haven't kicked Qarthadast out of the south/east, just mopped up the rebels. For some reason they and Qarthadast won't fight each other in my game.

From my experience with Spain it is the two Carthaginian provinces that generate the most income. Without them the economy there is only moderately strong.

Not when those chocolate little spear-chuckers go burrowing under the ground in search of shiny rocks.

God help you who neighbours on the Pyrenees if that ever happens!

I notice nobody picked up the two posters who made the comment on Chocolatey black people - good show!
The first racial joke I have seen go unpunished in years!

Ahem! Gododdin! I am waiting for that screenshot also!

Wow Sir Edward, that's some nasty Luso threat! In my 1.1 Makedonian campaign they are quite strong, but I don't see them having the potential to subdue Gaul on their own. Who knows? Time will tell...

Ehm yeah, I have now kicked the Lusos out of southern Italy and Sicily, so the map isn't as impressive now:oops:

Their recruitment is pretty thin on the ground in Italy so they seem easy to displace.
