Hello! If your new and don't have Caligula or Hadrian etc. and pretty much don't know much. This is your place to be!
It's easy Just follow the instructions and everything should turn out right

1. Highlight the Greek hoplite elite from type to ownership that's below ( not the red name!)

2. go to export_descr_unit ( To get there - got to run, on your start tab (on destop) and type in C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\ then click on Rome - Total war, go to data then export_descr_unit. It was at the bottom for me.

3. Scroll down till you find Greek Hoplite Elite, highlight it from type to ownership then delete it.

4. Paste the modified one where the old one use to be. Make sure there are two lines between the different units around it.

EX - They're tested don't worry if it doesn't work like it shuts you out you did something wrong. Oh, and when you put them in export_descr_unit file the may not line up evenly if not make sure the name next to type, example - greek hoplite elite, should be 13 spaces away from type. line all the other answers with that.

Hi, thanks for that, I've moved the thread out of the Forge though, but I'm not quite sure if this is the right place for it either!

You're obviously providing some suggested revisions to the unit stat's with instructions on how to change them, but I wonder if you could explain what the differences in effect are between your versions and the originals - an explanation like "do this if you want stronger hoplites" etc...

Then maybe we can give this an appropriate title and add it to the 'answers' database.

Elite Hoplites - Much stronger, attack and defence. Stronger than Spartan.
Has a Roman_centurion and roman_praetorian_cohort_i, plus Spartan hoplite.

East Elephant - Stronger, the driver and missile are now carthagian. More units in by 2 - men 1 - elephant.

Merc Hoplites - Much stronger, officers are roman and the idea is the'yre owned by Scipii. Not to mention much stronger.

Thanks for asking. Oh, yea and Merc hoplites - almost best unit on RTW.:2thumbsup:

red is the answers and for some reason whenever I post it always put all the writing next to example - unfortunate
