CTD when campaign starts and in custom battle

Hey, I get a crash every time I try to play a campaign game, or custom battle
Im using windows XP so the problem doesnt come from installing in program files right? Im installing over RTW:Gold edition and I have ran the validation checker, the txt file it brings up is empty, and whilst its running it babbles something about java?. I played EB awhile ago on an earlier version and I remember that working so im stumped as what to do ~:confused:

This "babble" about Java could possibly be that you haven't got it installed? Please paste the contents of that output here.

Yeah, that's what another guy got as well... It's actually there, but doesn't seem to find it.

Try to copy the eb.jar file to eb.zip, then unpack it into the RTW folder (where it currently lies). Change the validateInstall.bat file where it says eb.jar, replace that with "." (without the quotes). Finally try to run it again.

Ok I copied eb.jar into a .zip fle then extracted it back into the folder
Then changed "eb.jar" in the .bat file to "."
but it still doesnt show anything :(

Then I'm afraid I don't know how to get the validation to work for you.

You should try the rest of the suggestions in the validation sticky however.

Im gonna try downloading java again
Maybe my problem is with BI as I have RTW:G
But I dont think I can seperately install?

I don't have Gold myself, but someone said they had installed without BI and got it to work.

Ah nevermind
It loaded! BUT THEN! I selected a diplomat...BOOM CTD

So i guess its a memory related issue :( which saddens me
RTW and EB are off my pc
