Hello all! I'm having problems with a CTD in my Getic campaign.

The verson is 1.1
I have no other mods other than this version of EB
Tried all the fixes
Repeatedly crashes at same point after millions of restart attempts

I haven't any cities that are close to rebelling and the game has been relatively stable so far. After i click to progress a turn, the game crashes as the icon passes the Saka. I used toggle_fow to see what was going on up there but can't see anything.

Hope someone can help, my save-game is below.

ok, i ran the background script and it allowed me to bypass the turn i've been stuck on, only to CTD at the next hurdle

getting closer hopefully

Have you checked to see if any Saka towns are going to rebel? Also, turn on follow AI movement and see when it crashes exactly. Remember to put up toggle_fow.

hey, cheers for being the first to respond :beam:

well i had been checking and didn't see anything. Ater reading through tousands of threads here i messed about with the background script, which allowed me to progress one more turn before crashing. This occured as soon as i pressed for the turn to end, not at the saka point.

I loaded up the autosave and it had progressed me from my original CTD turn. However, as soon as i clicked on my settlement, it crashed. Bit late right now, but will try again a few times tomorrow and keep you updated

ok it's winter 221.BC (much earlier than any CTD i've had in the past) Now it crashes to desktop as soon as i click anything, from an enemy army to one of my settlements. I'll keep trying but i haven't a scooby doo what to do.

I think I would rather reload an earlier save or start a new campaign than mess about with the files without any clue.

you're probs right mate, anyways, cheers for the advice... i always seem to go the Getai....maybe i'll try Pontos for a change

i'm guessing the lessons for me to learn are;

a) play the game with the script running
b) never load from autosave

...anything else fellas?

many thanks again

There is also:

* Save the game often, and in separate files so you can backtrack a few years if a crash occurs.
