editing prefrences

Quick question, I hope. Ok so I want to edit some of my prefrences for eb (eb prefrences folder) like disabling banners and such. How do I do that? Do I just erase the "fasle" or "true" and type the opposite in? I don't know much about scripting or editing files and the last time I tried something eb crashed... so yah, please help?

Start preferences shortcut in RTW folder or in Menu Start/Europa Barbarorum.
Check options you want and click apply.

I'm not quite seeing this "checklist" I do see a true and false list there. Am I in the wrong folder?

Have you done this?
EB 1.1 comes with application that lets you to change common options (banners, minimal ui, unlimited men on battlefield, green arrows) withought messing with txt file. And this is what I was referring to.


How do I do that? Do I just erase the "fasle" or "true" and type the opposite in?
But if you insist on messing with txt files it should work as you have described it.

Ha, ok I got it now. I have eb 1.0 not 1.1 and I won't be upgrading for a while do to my very successful roman campaign. Thanks all for the help.
