What rules do you (try and) live by? Try and keep it concise, it's more fun.
Mine, passed down from my dad and uncles;
-Never hit a woman.
-Never let down your mates.
-Always get your round in.
-Don't be a ****.
Never stick with the oppinion of your mother.

I got three I try to follow, though admittingly, I don't always follow through all the time:
1) Be courteous and respectful.
2) Help others if they ask.
3) Don't worry, be happy. (https://youtube.com/watch?v=yjnvSQuv-H4)
Hmmm...some decent ones here.
A few of mine:
1. Respect women and don't refer to them as *****, unless treated otherwise.
2. Don't let negative or angry thoughts get in the way of clear and cool headed thinking.
3. There is no can't or try. There is can and do.
4. Be friendly to other people and smile at them, or help them if they have trouble.
5. Don't be afraid to ask questions or to stand up for yourself or beliefs despite the opposition.

I was thinking along the lines of the super-villains list of ways to win.

One I live by:
"A man who doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man"
courtesy of Don Vito Corleone from the original Godfather.
And one I try to:
"Never attribute to malevolence, that which can be attributed to negligence".

This is not a dress rehearsal.

You've only got so many days, don't spend them worrying about things.
- Only two things are certain; death and taxes.
- Call mum!

1. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
2. Everything happens for a reason, whether you know it or not.
3. You only live life once, might as have as much fun as you can.
I live by one rule, and one rule only.
1) Accept your limits. Embrace failure.

Walk softly, and carry a big stick.
My big stick is hording infomation against people.
So I guess:
1) always have info to use against everyone else.
1-treat others like you like to be treated.
2-Real friends are like brothers to me
3-If given the choice to be the shepherd or the sheep... be the wolf
As I take it to mean - you don´t have to be a leader or a follower, there´s a third option, be yourself.
The one and only rule: always try to be rational.

Dislike as many groups as you like, but give individuals the benefit of doubt.
- Always expect (or prepare for) the worst, that way you're near joyous when things go your way.
- Never ever picture the dead person at a funeral jumping up out of their coffin and saying "Boo!". On the bright side it'll make you laugh, on the downside it'll make you laugh at a funeral.
- Never eat pizza and then drink fruit juice.
- Never be part of an organization that requires either the putting on or taking off of hats.

1) treat people how you want to be treated (assuming your not some kind of sadist)
2) don't let emotion cloud my judgement.
3) don't get angry, get even.
4) don't let them get to you.

Speaking on general terms, it is perhaps not the most brilliant idea to commence work on something in the small hours of the morning after the copious imbibing of ardent spirits, and although the final result may be an invaluable insight into the workings of one's own mind, the person for whom the work is destined may find rather less than satisfactory.
This I have learned with all together bitter experience, alas.

Roger’s Extra Rules
Rule Number 29) Never take a chance you don’t have to.
Rule Number 30) Always have a plan.
Rule Number 31) Always have a backup plan.
Rule Number 32) When in the middle of the night, without a flashlight, in the midst of a rock-strewn cliff-ridden nowhere, you backtrack to find the faint trail you’ve just lost, then rip six rounds to frighten off a huge Mountain Loin that was fixing to have you for dinner, and the canyon down below where you were headed, erupts with a Bagdadesque barrage of drug smuggler automatic weapons fire, it’s time to pull-aside, roll-up in your poncho, and call-it-a-day.
I have two rules and only two rules for life:
1) Have fun
2) Don't hurt anyone

"Nothing is True; All is permissible"
"Do what thou Wilt"
"Don't put off 'til tomorrow what you can get out of today"
"Never run for the bus" :clown:
This last one started life in a very literal sense, but I find it has a great metaphorical application too
