Hello all,

looks like we have got this new forum for discussing all the things related to science. This is a part of the .org, so the rules of the whole org applies here, but I think that there should be two rules that should be applied to this forum in particular. Those should be aimed to have better discussions in the threads:

* Post personal oppinions with arguments, not only personal opinions. You should have a why you think that, not only "I think its this way."
* Keep civil discussions, and don't take the discussions too far. After all, this is a discussion, and nothing more than that. You aren't better if you win, you just try to prove your point.

I'd like to see others opinion regarding the rules here.

Nice to see Caius has established himself as moderator already :clown:

Seriously, I agree with those rules but maybe the first one should be non-enforced.

I think we'll just see how things unfold; this is an experiment after all. The standard Frontroom rules apply here, and Beirut and I will be keeping a close eye on things to see if we need to introduce any others.

Someone has to take the lead, right?

Seriously, I agree with those rules but maybe the first one should be non-enforced.
Right, but it doesn't add too much to a discussion "No, I don't think you are right"

Let's just see how this thing evolves - let the rules come as we see the need for them. :clown:

Thanks to this forum, I might start a thread on the Phoenix (http://phoenix.lpl.arizona.edu/) mission to Mars, due to land the 25th (provided that no one beats me to it :whip: ). Oh and of course, it'll help me to stay out of the Backroom. ~D
