Some previews ago the team showed work being done on improving the RTW landscapes in various different ways. Haven't been able to play EB 1.1 yet, so I don't know if this has been implemented already.

Recently I stumbled on this (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=156372) preview showing work by the Roma Surrectum in this aspect of the game. It looks fantastic, in my opinion, far superior to what I thought the Rome engine could achieve.

Any EB plans in this direction?

No plans beyond what was done for 1.1.

Edit: Welcome back by the way. I believe you left some time ago?

No plans beyond what was done for 1.1.So there has been some stuff with the landscapes changed in 1.1?
A bunch of battle maps in EB1.1 have been more interesting landscapes than I think I've ever seen on the RTW engine

RS is going for the full eye candy effect on the RTW engine. We won't try and match them because for some time now most of our resources have been directed to EB2, and the M2TW engine can natively deliver better graphics than even the most juiced up RTW engine.

So patience is in order...

EDIT: The first step would have been to retexture all of our units (except generals and officers) to 512X512. If someone feels up to it please try it, it would be a sort of an enhancement mod for EB. :) There, I sent a challenge.

But after the first units shown we'd probably recruit you for EB2...

Ah, ok. Looked impressive, so I just wondered if EB had anything similar in the pipeline. M2TW is a great alternative, of course!

Welcome back by the way. I believe you left some time ago?
Sort of. Still following the progress of my favourite mod, of course - just wasn't impressed with the direction debates on the public forum took, let alone the spam level at the time.
