Viking Invasion, Aragonese GA campaign, XL mod, Tiberius -textures only- patch, Early period, seen a Jihad standing in Pomerania, owned by Danes.
I am not so sure, because had not noticed, but it might be of Volga Bulgars before Danes conquered.
But, even if this happened, should not a new conquer by a Catholic faction sweep off the Jihad ?
It is the first time I see it so I cant say if that is a bug; the campaign is still working.
Cheers
That's odd. Was the Jihad directed at Pomerania then?

Are the province owner and jihad owner allied to each other, as well?

Well - the alliance shouldn't do any difference, should it? I thought that a jihad coudn't travel trough christian territory without causing war, just as a crusade can't go through muslim lands?
I bet it's a bug. Never seen it before though.

No, it was an egyptian Jihad and there's no alliance between Fatimids and Danes, while it should not matter if there was with Volga Bulgars, as both of Muslim religion and the permission to pass is enough.
More, I observed, up to now, that AI set always free ways for Crusades/Jihad; a permission denied must be only of human player.
Unfortunately I assumed the fact as normal and did not take any screenshot; only after I realized :inquisitive: , thinking about it was never happened to me to conquer a muslim province and be forced to make room for a previously standing Jihad.

In theory, and potentially, a Jihad *can* pass through christian lands without causing warfare. At least I think I recall allowing Jihads to pass when playing a christian (usually Byzantium). And crusades when playing a muslim, as well, I think...
anyone else think that Crusading should be easier, but instead of giving you the lands, there should be at least a chance for them to drop into a "Crusaders" faction? They would be sort of like the rebels (but more organized), and would represent in a lump all the different orders, kingdoms, and fiefs, that were born in the taken lands.

Yes, I've long wished that this had been an option in MTW. Not only would it be historically accurate, it just would've been cool as well. Heck, if we'd even had the option (like in Medieval 2) where we could "gift" the Holy Lands to the Pope, I wouldn't have minded being able to do that either.
