does anyone else find that troop place ment can sometimes be very difficult when you have a whole bunch of units clustered together.

what i am talking about is the following.
i have a unit of spears i want them to go to a certain postion but that postion is currently occupied by another unit (which i have given orders to move) prob is i cant order the spears to that postion because everytime i click on the space the computer belives i am trying to select the other unit.

so basicly i want a command where i can make unselectable all the units on the battle accept the unit i am currently working with.

at the moment the only solution is to wait until the other unit has moved away before you can give the order for in this case the spear to take up that space. sometimes in battle i dont have the luxury of waiting until this occurs. resulting in a gap in my line.

Hold alt while clicking to ignore friendly units, and to be able to click on the ground beneath them. This way you don't have to wait for them to move, and you can do anything you would normally do (click & drag, etc.). Also, click and hold space and then click and hold alt to have both unit ghosts displayed and to make friendly units non-selectable.

Actually Lord Its not your fault. The manual does not mention this. Along with about 60 million other commands.

Nice one hrvojej, gotta try that!

Also, you can click the unit flag icons at the bottom of the screen.

...and while we are at it, is there any kind of collection of those not mentioned in the manual battle commands? Some of the MP wizs might have put them together, for the generations to come etc. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

So... is there? Where?
