I saw in previous builds that the EB team was trying to script in a way of returning Alexander the Great's body back to Makedonia. I'm not sure if it was ever able to fully work but I thought Id check.
Currently I just took over Alexandria and, if I recall from the older builds correctly, you had to have a family member within the city with an open Retinue spot who then destroys the tomb of Alexander. I did so and waited a year, but nothing happened and then the following turn his last slot was filled by Armorer.
Is there something Im missing?

If I remember correctly, only a character with the "Conqueror of Alexandria" (Nikesias Alexandrou?) trait can move the body. You'll have to wait a turn after destroying the tomb, but then he will get a trait (not a retinue) indicating he is carrying the corpse. Then he has to move to Pella and stay there for a turn while Alexander is reintered. Only the Macedonians and Seleucids can perform this quest.

I believe this is broken. I could be wrong though.

EDIT: Actually, it is broken. I just checked and the script concerning the body of Alexander is deactivated.

Because of the inclusion of Saba (romans_senate). Both the Baktrian Independence, Seleucid breakup and the Body of Alexander were broken afterwards.

Just like my current campaign... Bloody sabaeans are destroying everything:furious3: :laugh4: ... But I hope things such as these are in consideration for EBII?

Holy Crap!! IS this what somebody on the Team meant when he said that one faction slot might be reserved for scripting stuff?!?!?!?!!? I might have stumbled upon a gigantic secret. This must be brought before the EBF Council at once!

I think they must have discussed this quite a lot of times, but decided that sacrificing all this to add the Saba would be a better choise. I agree with that also:yes:

I wouldn't mind sacrificing Casse, though. :P

Is there a guide about all these mini-quests?

Please, link it.

:sweatdrop:

Well, you have the Shanshah thing for at least Pahlava (perhaps Hay too, not sure), and the Anabasis for the Seleucids.

Yep. You can find all thi stuff (with pics and such) in the data folder. Dunno where exactly, though... They even have the Yhuezi destroyed pic! Did they use to be a faction in previous builds?:inquisitive:

Looking trough the EBBS script I found a couple of interesting things, like the Chersonesos event, the Epeiros-Gauls alliance, the Celtiberian alliance and Sweboz Triumphs. Now I think I understand these to some point, but I would appreaciate it if someone with a bit more knowledge could tell me exactly what they mean.
I´m asking it here just ´cause we seem to have moved to discussing mini-quests in general.

the Chersonesos event, the Epeiros-Gauls alliance, the Celtiberian alliance and Sweboz Triumphs.

1)The Chersonessos Event: Basically it says whenever the Sauromatae attack one of the Crimean cities, they will declare war upon the Pontikes.

2) The Epeiros-Gallic alliance: I don't know what it does precisely, but I think in the early-game, the Gallic factions get a quest to conquer either Singidunum or Ak-Ink, together with the Epeirotes.

3)The Celtiberian Alliance: If the Lusotannan will attack Numantia, a fullstack will be spawned to counter the Luso's.

They were indeed, replaced by the Saka Rauka.

I believe that Iberian stack still works. It did in 1.0 at least.

Yes, it does work in 1.1, if it is indeed Moskon you are talking about. As for Chersonesos, I thought that would be togheter with the other script parts about that sort of stuff, but apparently not.
I´m very curious about this Epeiros-Gauls thing though, I´ve never heard nor noticed anything like it before. Also whats with the Sweboz triumphs?

Returning Alexanders body used to work though didn't it? I'm sure I remember doing it in an old Makedonia campaign. Maybe I just dreamt it, I do have a scary number of EB dreams.:shame:

It worked before the inclusion of Saba, so that would be 0.72.
