View Full Version : Spies missions are wrong
It seems that the spy missions are incorrect compared to the manual. They are supposed to be used to find out Vices and Virtues of ALL generals. Frankly, I would find it far more useful for my own so I know how these guys are affecting my provinces/countries. In addition, I'd much rather frame an enemy general for treason than my own. I can assassinate or just disband my own.

Yes,but if you disband the general you'll do so and for the rest of the unit. If you assasinate him there is a chance that your assasin will die.Apart from all these you can frame princes with many disadvadanges who you dont want to success your Emperor(who cannot be disbanded) and is hard to assasinate. And you can frame a general or prince of another faction. Finaly a spy (or some of them) can cause unrest and rebelions in a territory of a friend or foe.It is a good method to conquer a province from an ally. A spy raises a rebelion. The rebels drive the ally off their land. You invade the land as a peacemaker and make it your protectorate.

While on this general subject, I'll take the opportunity to rant about a pet hate of mine in the game.
The manual states you can assassinate your leader, & you can't, (& yes I know all the in's & out's of getting rid of an inbreb freak who's destroying your hard won empire), but why NOT just let us assassinate him!
