Multiple Crusades/Jihads?

The only Catholic faction I've tried are the Spanish and I've had the limit of 1 crusade active at a time. However, in playing another campaign I've had the pleasure of facing 2 crusades from the French and on another occasion 2 jihads from the Turks. Not normal right? Tell me this'll be fixed in the patch?

the computer only ever builds 1 crusade per team but they gang up on you with 2-3 different crusades, like i had spanish, italian and german crusades sitting on my door step for many turns, And yes muslim teams can have more than one jihad which is fair enough coz they can only take provinces back, not attack them

What about the orthodox? They don't have anything like Crusades or Jihad. Is it enough that they cannot be excomunicated like the catholics? And then ... what is the drawback for muslims? They don't get excommunicated and they have Jihads...multiple.
