Is it just me or does anyone else like to indulge in a little crusade chasing?
I was playing the Eygptians, & had a crusade come down through Spain & along north Africa to Egypt. I had enough blockading ships round all my ports to put all my efforts into a nasty suprise force for the crusade. To cut it short I routed the crusade who fell back on the neighbouring province.
Well I figured if the English, (my then neighbours in Africa), allowed the French to come storming down hoovering up troops along the way, just to attack me, & then let the beaten crusade sit on my doorstep, why not move the doorstep?
So I proceeded to chase the French crusaders & English sidekcks, all the way back into Spain, & a very profitable, highly amusing pastime it proved to be.
In fact I liked it so much I do it every chance I get.
Byzants' & English, being the most challenging form due to the number of open borders on the path of destruction; also it's gives an added challenge of putting you into conflict with a large number of coutries fairly quickly. But hell if they're already crusading against you, so what.
