View Full Version : No eagle standard or legion name?

Hey I have just had the Marian reforms in my Romani 1.1 save, I have been looking forward to using the new Prima Cohors Reformata and the numbered legions that 1.1 has included. However when I trained my first unit they did not have an eagle standard but a normal one, and the only legion name present was just 'legio'. I thought it would be Legion I Roma or similar rather than just 'legio'.
For all intents and purposes they are just a normal cohort?

Is this a bug? If so could someone tell me how to fix it if possible please?

You have unit banners turned off, hence to eagle. As to numbering (not naming) it somehow wasn't implemented.

I thought that the eagle was carried by a standard bearer though?

Not in Vanilla EB. There is a mod for that adds a eagle bearer to the unit, somewhere though.

theres a mod made by fanatics , its in teh unofficial mods section, but...Im not sure if its mp capable

First cohort numbering was inadvertantly left out of the 1.1 release. It has been enabled in our current internal build an will be available in the next patch.

Will said patch be save game compatible?? I really don't want to be having to play 120 odd years as the Romans for a 3rd time to get the Marians....

Given the collection of non-retrospective fixes we've had, I'd say not.

I thought legions weren't numbered until later Roman times...?

noooooo! not EB 2!!! my computer cant run medieval , you'll see... I play whit my laptop...(my desk is a mac... ¬¬) but it has its graphic card attached and I cant change it , so I'm sooooo stucked whit a crappy intel graphics card... ¬¬ so I wont be able to play med until I buy another computer...

By the time EB 2 comes out, you'll probably have another computer anyhow.
