Well, I just recently found this site and I found it helpful but lurking can only do so much, first post saying hello to anyone who'd read this. Been playing shogun and medieval 1 for a long time now and i liked to use the guns even though they werent really that effective. I havent started mods and multiplayer but im quite a decent player if I said so myself, i recently uninstalled the games(2) a few months ago and i want to play them again, but i cant launch the installer, i now its probably been asked alot but i cant find it, i have a windows xp upgraded to sp2 so i know thats the problem, help would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to post here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=15)

If you have a newer video card I believe it is. There have been issues with not being able to play MTW, but you're better off waiting for someone more tech savy then me to help you.

Welcome to the forums as well. ~

Welcome to the Org, Laoran! ~

Yes, the Apothecary is where you want to go if you're having trouble getting your game to run. And as Abokasee pointed out, the fact that you have an older computer might actually be a good thing, as newer machines sometimes have trouble running Shogun and MTW (usually due to issues with new graphic cards). Good luck!

Welcome!

And please, change the thread name. In the .Org, there arent "n00bs", there are "newbies".

Welcome, Laoran. All newbies have to clean Martok's stables for a week as their initiation. No, just kidding... :laugh4:

Or am I? :laugh4: :inquisitive: :laugh4:

Mine does that with Shogun and MTW. Custom battles play fine, but they always CTD when I start a campaign.
