View Full Version : CTD Romani during AI Ptolemaioi turn
I took FOW off and followed the turns, CTD's with no message at all. Happens while focussed on Hierosolyma. Tried it with script off, still CTD. Any help would be appreciated. Only thing ive done, is edit the Marian reform triggers. I lowered the number of provinces needed, could that have messed something up?

I had installed force diplomacy, and edited the reform triggers, so i went and replaced those files (had backups), and i still get the CTD. :(
ok dont worry about it. il start a new campaign

Have you tried processing the next turn without the script activated? That was the only thing that worked for an AI turn CTD I had.
Yeh still CTD. I forgot i had a backup save from around 5 years previous. Loaded it up, got to the exact same point, and got another CTD.
The changed reform triggers shouldn't crash the game, unless you've inadvertently made the game spawn tons of reform buildings. Still, it could be an overflow of buildings somewhere, but it's hard to investigate...
I suggest teleporting over an army to Jerusalem and knocking away any armies in the vicinity to see if it makes any difference, and also force diplomacying the AI to give you all the cities of the faction(s) that seems to cause the crash so you can investigate for any excess buildings.
What sort of buildings could be causing the issue? And also, how do i teleport an army?

Open the console:
show_cursorstat
move_character "[name of character]" x,y
First is to get your co-ordinates.
Exactly like that, no spaces between the co-ords and the character is either Captain Whatsisname or you might need to go into the names.txt to find it for Family Members.
Roman FMs are almost impossible to move, by the way, because they all use weird internal names that aren't reflected anywhere externally.
The "Game field" is reported to cause a crash in one instance. Never found any reason why, and it hasn't done so in any other campaigns that I know of. But it most definitely caused it in that one.
OK thanks guys, il see how i go.
