Hi,

I have come up across a regular rebellion CTD that occurs during the Roman AI turn in Syrakousai and possibly Rhegion when a revolt is to take place (not 100% sure on Rhegion, happened a couple of days ago and I forget exactly what city).

I am playing as Averni, year is 234BC and version 1.1 of EB with all perm patches installed.

I have placed several spies in all southern Roman Cities and Sicily to try and extend the Punic wars a bit to allow me breathing space.
However.. when Syrakousai is about to rebell (damaged buildings in the city, public order at 35% and so on) the game simply CTD's. I can get around this by taking my spy out of the city but after all that effort....
As mentioned previously this also happened in Rhegion or Syrakousai probably about 255BC however I simply removed the spy and moved on.

My suspicion, the game is trying to spawn some form of rebell unit in those cities that is unique to sicily/southern Italy. The city of Taras has already rebelled several times with no problem, also the central northern Gallic town (forget the name sorry - Mediolanum?) has been forced to rebell across to Aedui from the Romans earlier with no problems.

If it helps I will post my savegame later, invincible Romans are no fun

So you know which city is causing the problem. I suggest you withdraw your spy and allow it to avoid the revolt, then put him back in and try again to have it rebel. If it doesn't make any difference, force diplomacy the town to your faction, destroy all buildings (or at least, the game field if it's there, as it's been identified as the culprit in an earlier instance) and finally give it back to them with force diplomacy, to see whether it makes a difference to the rebellion.

Alternatively, you could just take over the city with force diplomacy and disband a unit or four to simulate your losses when taking it (I'm assuming you want to take it over after it rebels).
