Numerus Esquilinus is now one of the youngest emperor in roman history. At age of 20 he conquerd the whole Iberia peninsula. And at age of 24. He became the emperor of Rome. He put his interest north. Against the Arveni tribe. To finish the conflict once and for all.
Even if Numerus ensured that no barbarian invasion, would come from the north. Numerus was criticizes to neglect the Ptolemaio threath from asia minor.
With the Makadonian provinces constantly invaded. And hardly no reinforcemnt to fill the gaps. Seruius Cornelius of the Noble Scipio famliy. Made a great reputation of fending off invasion after invasion. Meanwhile after vanquish the Arevni tribes. Numerus understood that it was an untenable situation. He started massive recruitment for an decisive invasion of asia minor.
Unfortunatley annother tribe in gaul put to arm to the romani supremacy - The Aedui. So what should he then do? March to Asia minor and let the gates to Rome open? Or march up north and give the Greek provinces to the Ptolemai? He decided to split the supposed invading army in two. One to garrison the gaulish provinces. And one to support the greek provinces. He called home the Roman hero from asia minor. Seruius Cornelius of Scipio to brief the Generals in Ptolemaio warfare. And in official records Serius would aid the emperor for a quick victory up north. To then march towards Asia minor.

What he really was doing is farm much better. After a lot of efforts, the emperor knew that the heart of the Ptolemai provinces was almost undefended. So in secretly he raised a fleet. And gathered the top of the veterans from asia minor. And lead under Seruius, the great Ptolemaio vanquisher. They would take Alexandria, sack it and kill exterminate the inhabitants. Then return before the farao would have a chance to react.

So what's your war story?

Very nice :2thumbsup:
Although, I think this would be better suited in the EB Gameplay Guides & AAR's section. So it doesn't get lost among the crowd, here.

How do generals become emperors? I've never had it, just primus inter pares.
