Welcome to the .Org Mythra ~

I've moved your thread to the EB forums - you should get a better answer there :burnout:

According to the EB FAQ, these are the requirements for the Marian Reforms:

-At least the year 172BC
-Have more than 6 Latifundia built in Italy
-Hold at least 45 settlements
-Fight more than 250 battles
-Have a character that is:
Sharp/Charismatic/Vigorous
Popularis
Consul or Ex-Consul
Has Influence > 2
Has Command > 2
OR
-Conquer 90 settlements. Theoretically, henceforth, you should be able to get the Marian reforms from 172BC onwards. I think it was set to a fixed date in older versions (0.x series), but I'm not too sure.

I don´t entirely understand your question. You got the Marian reforms popup. It´s the whole "Cool but w.t.h. suppose to be in 106 ?" that I don´t understand. What excatly is your question?

I think he may mean why has he got the reforms in 146 (or anytime after 172), when (at least according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_reforms, I know I know but it's close enough for this purpose :p) the reforms historically could have been put to a date around 106-107bc.
Now I'm not a team member nor a historical expert so this is either speculative or just what I've picked up from around these forums but I would imagine the main reason for this would have because there are other conditions to the reforms.
The Marians historically came about because of the changing nature of the Roman Republic in regards to its size and the number of men available to recruit, the EB team have never been about railroading the player down a particular route, and therefore I think the reasoning is that if the republic had reached the size and conditions (as well as can be simulated in the engine, ie building latufinda etc) earlier in history, it's possible they could have made reforms earlier.
Plus 106bc is one hell of a lot of turns for the average player :laugh4:
Hope that helps
Cheers

I'm going to alter the unconditional trigger to however many provinces I have in 110BC. I'm at 163BC and I've deliberately halted any building of latifunda in Italy when I realised I had five already. I don't want it occurring for a while yet, and there's every possibility one of my S/C/V FMs might turn into a Marius if I'm not careful.

That said, I've only got 30-something provinces right now, though I might be in danger when I destroy Carthage, Greece and Macedonia by 146.
