Recieved that email as well. It appears the "report post" feature is a bit messed up--it should only send an email to moderators.

Perhaps it sends to all the friends that the user has? (The user that has had a post reported on their page)

Would it be possible to change the alert to PM rather than email though? Usually tend to check PM much more often than email.

EF tried to befriend everyone on the board as part of a contest. One of the people he tried to befriend seemed not to appreciate it and wrote something nasty on EF's visitor profile. I reported it. It must have been sent to every "friend" that EF had. For some reason, the board saw us all as moderators.

What's funny is that I never received that PM even though I am on EF's friend list.

Is everyone on Tosa's list a mod/am/admin on the .org? That could explain why they all got emails.

That explains why I didn't get a PM alerting me to my report.

I guess the board was set up to have every mod police the visitor profiles as a default. I must have been the first person to use the report feature.

So, the PM wasn't sent to everyone on EF's friend list. It was sent to every member of the .org's mod team.

There are people that are still green that aren't on the current forum leader list. Like Econ. Maybe fabolous is one of those people too.

That's what I thought at first, but if you check his profile, he's a normal member. He seems to be a team member of some modding group though, but the leaders list says he isn't moderating any forum.

EF friended just about everyone. But this is a seperate matter. The reporting function seems wonky on people's visitor pages.

Perhaps I didn't get an email because in my User CP Options, I had unchecked the "Receive Email from Other Members" and "Receive Friendship Request Email" boxes. Did the people who got those emails have them checked?

"Receive email for PM" and "Receive email for friendship" are unchecked.

I got it too and was quite perplexed. Mod powers of deletion are also available to me on EF's UserPage. Looks like it sends to all the moderators of the board, eg the greenies, plus those of us who have mod powers in sub forums (like hosted mods).
