Which other RTW mods do you play

I came to EB from RTR although I haven't played thier Gold or Platinum releases since moving really (even though I still love the skins for Rome and Carthage). The only other mod I've really played is their mini campaign in Iberia which I love but it is short and only has two playable factions which means there is not much replay value.

So my question is which other mods are people playing here for variation?

None. EB murdered them all. There's just no way back, to anything.

And I'm not just talking Total War, I talking all games.

I'd very strongly recommend Iberia: Total War (http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=62). I find it at least as good as EB in gameplay terms. Basically, the game is about the various important Iberian tribes, and their neighbours (Romans, Carthaginians and Gauls) it has stupendous skins, and I wouldn't mind merging them together if, the unit limit would allow. I advise everyone to try it.

RTR, but I only play one mod at a time. Won't be trying out ExRM for RTR Platinum until my current EB game is finished.

Before EB I have experiences of IBFD 6.0 and 7.1 and RTR paltinium...

IBFD and RTR platinum as well. personally i prefer EB since IBFD was too easy as the romans and RTR just wasnt for me.

For M2TW, however, I play SS and BC... And waiting paitintly for EB2.

Fourth Age Total War is outstanding, though it probably appeals to a slightly different fan base (Tolkien enthusiasts rather than history enthusiasts). EB and FATW keep me plenty busy, so I haven't tried any other mods.

I play mundus magnus, it's just like RTW but with a bigger map. I prefer EB but i can´t resist those super fast loading times.

Invasio Barbarorum, it's nice and has a refreshingly different time period, and the skins are awesome, and I'm currently playing as Western rome in Rio's new addon, and it's hard as a BOWL OF DI...I mean really hard, harder than Saba on m/vh.

I still love Europa more than Invasio, I used to be a huge fan of RTR though, but after 3 years of no changes and no hope for 7.0.....

Yeah I was one of the first full-time switches, and I made the FIRST EB AAR, which strangely enough caused Arta to make his AAR, the two together probably "converted" a few EBers.

I constantly play Roma Surrectum (can't wait for 2.0, check out the previews here or at twcenter) and IBFD and EB off and on. I've tried many mods but these are the only mods that really keep me coming back.

well... you should play 58BC:Caesar Imperator! if you want to experience something different than the usual: "build a huge army and conquer the world" kind of gameplay.

I play:

1-IBFD-the origional

2-Imperium julianorum v.2.0 (waiting for 3.0)

3-Rio's IBFD mod (yes I have all 3 IBFD mods-and waiting for the 4th and last-restitutor orbis)

4-Rise of Persia (I've hunted the bugs for them (no not beta-tester).

5-Napolean 2 total war (surprisingly more widely played than EB-what? shooting things is fun!)

6-Chivalry total war (love it-if only they spoke vernecular languages rather than pig latin) I kane English:laugh4: (middle english sounds a lot like scotch)

7-some mysterious mod named the crusades (BI)-worst mod gameplay wise (only 2 factions?)...good unit detail, though EB is better..

Well, if you have indeed caused Artaserse/Obelics to write his Waste Land which in turn made me to switch from RTR Platinum (still an excellent mod indeed - and made even better with ExRM!!!) to EB, you really deserve your payment! :2thumbsup:

sorry man, but it wasn't as you say, i hate to talk about this things, cause it seems we are acting like a sort of "starlets"... it's embarassing, anyway since it's the second time you say that, i have to say my point, lets give to Caesar that is of Caesar, so:
When i was at the rtr, there were other EBaars, most by Omorphos (i think it's name at the tw center is Demetrious II). His AAR was called "Swebotz Tribes", and i must say that peraphs it influenced me to download EB 0.72.
But the aar that inspired me to write one of my own aar was another aar by Omorphos, using an Attila skin for BI, the ancestor of IBFD. It was very colorfoul etc, with little pics, even if he didn't use comic bubbles in it's aar, those little colourful images inspired me to try the thing of the comic bubbles.
I remember your name in the rtr forum when me and Omorphos were already alive by sometime.
This is not to say that you could have been there before than me, but i really dont remember you, than after a while, when me and Omorphos were already there. Also i wasn't aware of TWcenter forums, so if you were at the twcenter, then i didn't know you.
I remember could be you posted a Roman aar and a Carthaginian aar at the RTR, but they lasted really for few time cause CTD? and it was when my aar already started.
Also remember that at the rtr forum, all the few EB 0.72 aars lasted usually for just 1 page or 2 before to be abandoned. Only exception was that Sweboz tribes by omorphos who lasted i think for 3 pages. Also it was Omorphos who adviced me to try the new 0.74 version when i sayd that my AAr could die cause the salamis bug. Than i decided to convert it to 0.74.

That's all.

It's not cause i have something against you or similar, it's just im telling how the things went back 2 or 3 years ago from my memory.

I used to play RTR Platinum a few years ago before moving on to EB. I was excited by some of the previews for 7.0 but it's so far away right now.

Can someone tell me though what IBFD is?

And also this Napoleon 2 mod. Is it a full campaign or just battles?
