Hamachi query

Are there any special setting or tweaks needed to play Medieval via Hamachi?

I have seen several posts where people mention using Hamachi to play medieval,

we have been trying to create an Hamachi lan where several of the players will be running through a single router, with others joining from the net, so far there has been no joy.

(trying to avoid port forwarding if we can)

tho' if we dont get Hamachi up we will need a way for all players on the lan to connect with gamespy...

that site is usefull, it has instructions for port forwarding many different routers, games, programs,
BUT
my copy of Hamachi does not display the "magic port" number in any menu,
which apparently is needed ?

downgrade to a beta - try .61

but i think you have to set a static internal IP and then port forward Hamachi through the router anyway
(which is what it's not supposed to need, if you believe the ads)

...but i think you have to set a static internal IP and then port forward Hamachi through the router anyway... and that's whats making my head spin, a complete set of rules i need to write and co-ordinate them with inbounds and outbounds and match them to services for each and every box i want to run (minimum 3 maximum 6 boxes)...:dizzy2:
