I'm playing a Romani campaign at the moment, and whilst trying to keep to some degree of historical accuracy (army composition, order of wars) the AI's diplomacy is making things quite a challenge. I was wondering where I can download the Force Diplomacy mod and how I'll be able to use it. Will I be able to use my save game I'm playing at the moment? Is it guaranteed to work? Thanks

The mod is downloadable from here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=80763). I think there's a 1.1 version in there, but to be honest the 1.0 one works just fine.

I recently posted instructions for this, so here they are again:

Step by step, this is how you use it.

1) Install the mod in the right place. That includes a little file in the data\scripts\show me how folder.
2) In the game, press Esc to open up the menu, click on Game Options
3) Check the "Reset Advisor" box, then click on the tick icon

You have to do steps 2 and 3 every time you want to use FD, and it only works once. If you mess up the later steps, you have to do them again.

4) Open a dialogue with an AI faction with your diplomat.
5) Set up a proposal that's capable of being offered with the scroll icon, and not just the hand. It must be in a complete state that you're ready to offer.
6) Before clicking the scroll, click on the "?" button.
7) When the face appears, click on the "show me how" button underneath it, then the face to make the popup disappear.
8) Click on the propose button; if it worked the cursor should turn to egg-timer for a moment.
9) If settlements are suddenly flashing, double click on one, click the "?" then click on the "X" on the popup to get rid of it.

If you do anything out of order, it won't work and you'll have to start from step 2) again. If you offer something they can't actually accept, it won't work and you'll have to do everything again and come up with a new proposal.

Each time you want to use it, you have to go from step 2).
