Hi all,

I am seriously considering one of the new Atom/945G based netbooks as a viable way to play classic games on the go, as well as all the other reasons for wanting a netbook.

What is the performance of M:TW like on a 945G chipset?
I don't mind the battles being a little laggy as i virtually never play them, but will the campaign map run fine?

Many thanks

Intel integrated graphics are known to be very problematic when it comes to MTW. Few have had much luck with it so far and those that we know of that have, have had to use an older driver version that may not support the 945G anyway. If you'll be using Vista then the problem will probably be without solution because you won't be able to find drivers that are old enough.

There is a new solution to CTD problems however but it has never been tested on Intel integrated graphics as yet:

hmmm, i would have thought the 945G would present few problems.

anyway, it would certainly be with XP.

my other option is the new PUMA platform from AMD (Turion Ultra + 3200 VGA), but i really have no idea if M:TW will run on that due to the newer drivers..............

If STW can work on a EeePC then there is a good chance MTW will work too.
