Hallo everyone,
just when I realized the Romani had their Marian Reforms for the first time in any of my games I looked for Marian legionaries but didn't find any, even some years later. Then I saw the AI had repaired the damaged Polybian barracks in every Roman city and kept building Polybian troops. I thought the reason might be because of a load/save-bug or whatever, anyway, I tried another savegame in which the Polybian barracks were still damaged. I continued playing the savegame, but then again saw the AI starting to repair all the damaged barracks. I've made minor changes to my EB files but as far as I can say none touches any Roman reform. So am I the only one to encounter that problem? I fear I have to take most Roman cities via Force Diplomacy and destroy the Polybian barracks manually. I'm playing the Seleucids by the way, but that might be of minor importance concerning that problem.

It appears to me that they are building the new Marian MIC beside repairing the Polybian. It should be okay I think.

But then they'll be able to recruit Polybian as well as Marian units? I thought it was like Marian units replace them.

I thought the MIC was damaged each turn?

No, sorry, maybe I'm not writing understandable. It's like that: the Polybian MICs got damaged to 100% once the reform happened (just as they should, I think), but then most MICs get repaired soon after, one by one. The picture shows that: Arretium has the Polybian MIC damaged, but in Patavium it's already repaired. The problem is now, the Romani only recruit via these old repaired Polybian MICs and don't recruit Marian troops.

Then I guess we should damage the MICs more often... Then again, it will be a drain on the AI's treasury as it will keep repairing all the time.
