I've read about a 66BC crash bug around here recently and out of curiosity and a certain amount of boredom I tested it.
I took an AS campaign save and while watching TV I clicked "End Turn" for a few decades.
I just hit 65BC, so I guess there is no such bug in EB.
I have to add however, that Baktria and Hayasdan, the other "roman" factions that might be involved in a vanilla civil war crash, are no longer around, so the test result might not be 100% safe.

If there are no other "roman" factions left, there's obviously not going to be a civil war. So not entirely safe, I guess.

Right. That thought came to my mind in 65BC...
It was still quite entertaining actually.
what if the roman factions are still there but the player faction isn't one of them?

Good question. Because in my planned future game while AS might be dead by 66BC, Hayasdan and Baktria certainly won't be.
now who will be the brave knight who goes on this mighty quest of discovering if the roman factions controlled by the AI also cause the crash :laugh4:

Is it possible to change the date, via console or script, to 67 BC to find out?
Just musing, 'cause I sure as hell ain't gonna do it; I'm too lazy.

I feel so stupid for forgetting about the other roman factions that I'm probably gonna find out some day.
However it will be really hard to take a new campaign (perhaps Casse) instead of my 100BC AS save, which wasn't really that far from 66BC.
how long do you think it would take? 206 years x 4 x 30 segs per turn 24720 segs which is 6.8 h...:shifty:

I guess it will take longer than 6,8 hours since I would have to monitor the AI factions and prevent the roman factions from being destroyed.

Could you post a screen of the situation?

I stopped doing much after 100BC when I had destroyed the Ptolemaioi. It became kind of boring then.
I'm at war with Carthage. Saka, Sauromatae and Saba are too weak to attack me. Getai, Sweboz and Epeiros are protectorates of Rome. I'm still technically at war with Epeiros but I left them alone after taking Greece from them. They are a buffer between me and Rome now, if I'm in the mood I'm gonna destroy them and fight some marian legions.
