I had a rebellion pop up last nite. They had 8 units of desert archers and 3 units of peasants. I put in a stack of 8 cav and 4 good spears. I started on a tall hill and they were in the valley. I charged my entire force into them. I killed/captured absolutely EVERY last man before they could rout off the map. It was very fun to watch but not much of a match as I only lost 26 men and killed/captured all 1296 of them. But it was fun!

Not in large unitsize.
3*200 = 600
8*120 = 960

960+600 = 1560... easily within the bounds.

Medium unit sizes, ie 133 peasants. But I may have miscounted and there was another company. Also, the 1296 may be 1236 or something. Heck I don't actually write this stuff down, you know. But that's the facts and I am sticking to them.

Hardknut, king of the Danish was troubled with two very disloyal generals. Orders arrived directing their knights to be used to reinforce other units, and then for them to embark on a commando style raid. Just the two of them. In Egypt, against the Egyptians' 9 star general and his 3000+ troops.

That's the most lopsided battle I've ever seen. Watching those two guys running down the side of a sand dune into the waiting arms of several units of Mamluk cavalry was so much fun that when they offered to sell them back to me, I bought them just so I could do it again next turn .. the kill ratio was pretty good actually .. sadly they never made it back for a third year ..
