View Full Version : Roleplaying Second Punic War
Long lost Caesar

I'm giving role-playing a try and have found it to be quite good, choosing to march into Sicily, taking Corsica and Sardinia and then using FD to make peace with Carthage before heading north to make a route to Spain. But one thing has been on my mind for a while: in the second war against Carthage Rome lost all of it's Spanish, Gallic and some of it's Italian cities to Hannibal. Although I can't spawn a Carthaginian general and expect him to outdo me on the battlefield, is there some way I can give cities to Carthage and then retake them, as Scipio did? Any experience, suggestions and advice would be appreciated. Cheers

Use force diplomacy to gift them.
Also, try some battles with smaller armies than your opponent's, and try to win still. Yesterday, I actually defeated Xanthippos with only a few units. I guess I'm too good to role-play. :2thumbsup:
