Hellas,
I´ve just listen that someone want to play the second punic war. Normally it´s very complex to create an acurate historical situation. forced diplomaty and so on...

So my idea is:
that peopel how do this lot of work, to create a historical situation, make a savegame and share it for other interested players like "the battle of telamon" or other battles.
This time it could be savegame "second punic war" or the savegame "gallic wars" and so on.

i just don´t check the savegame thread if there are historical sg´s, but i think a lot of peopel would be interested in it.

how do you think about it?????:feedback:

I like this idea. Who will be the judge of how accurate a save game is tho?

Probably in cooperation with an team of historians or eb-members with ambitions and time for it?

An other advantage is the fact that eb 1.1 is a fix version with no other update till eb2. so the time till eb2 released can be filled with historical war courses... (i just develop my thoughts...)

That is new to me (and certainly to other members that are working with the 1.1 files too).

EDIT:
On your idea: It might be better to make a new descr_strat with the situation you want to recreate. You should also change the script in all parts that ask for turn numbers by reducing them by the number of turns your descr_start had advandced form 272 BC.

ahh, i don´t know that - i´m not really familiar with modding...
just like to use it :shame:
i was thinking about, that there will no other updates, which make the savegame not compatible between the updates like 0.81a to 1.1
