Hi everyone! I've been looking at your mod for a few days and I'm so interested in it! I am currently using a laptop because my desktop is acting up and I need to work on it before it's usable. I play Vanilla on this computer with these settings just fine:

Large unit size
800x600 on battlefield
No AA
No Shadows
Medium Unit Detail
Smoke and Dust (don't know if that is a demanding option or not)

And I got RTR 6.0 Gold made it run slowly, I assume because of the better skins? Well I tried putting unit detail to low and it ran better but the legs were all pointy at low so I wouldn't play like that .
So I'm just wondering if this mod takes alot more CPU (sorry, don't know the correct term if it isn't) then Vanilla.

Thank you so much in advance!
:2thumbsup:

Yes, EB takes a LOT more resources than Vanilla.

Ok, I suppose I'll wait until I fix my desktop to download EB. Shame, I really want to play

More important than CPU, you'll need lots of RAM. 2 GB is recommended.

Well I have 2 Gigs of RAM and a Dual Core @ 1.73, but my video card is horrible. I'm surprised it runs Vanilla the way it does, but I'm thinking mods usually incorporate more complicated/hi-res skins that tax the video card more, which is the main reason I think it would lag it. Though I may still download it just to give it a shot.

:laugh4: And I only have 512  Still, runs smoothly on low details and large unit size. Who needs dust and shadows when there's killin' to be done !?! :smash:

I can run EB fine on a Laptop with all but unit detail and size on low/lowest. In medium - small battles it's fine on higher settings too. I don't know my specs though.

I have only 512MB and my battles run smoothly with everything set on medium or high.
It is the campaign map that takes up the most RAM. It can lag seriously on my old pc.

What video card do you have?

Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipset Family, sucks horrible. But I'm still going to try it for those long airplane trips I'm on all the time. Just finished downloading, I'll update with how it runs.

Thanks for the info, too!

OK, well it runs fine in small unit size, but I can't stand running it like that. It runs decent on normal unit size but as soon as you zoom in it gets down to like 10 fps. Well, I know my desktop can handle this so I'll probably just wait for that to be fixed up.

Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it.

(Also, unit detail is on medium because any lower and I get the pointy legs on some units)

Click a unit inside a settlement, move it outside, campaign "lag" should be fixed (temporarily at least).
I would be very surprised if your campaign map was actually running slower (in terms of fps etc) than the battle map, I myself get periodic stuttering on my beasty pc on the campaign map but that always sorts it out.
