Alright, so I went back to an old campaign with Saba only to realize that I had sinced switched to a larger unit size (normal to large, or something), after finding ourt my computer could handle it. At first I assumed the campaign would just stay locked in "normal" size, but on the unit training sheets, the "large" unit sizes were displayed. I was pretty happy about this, because I figured I could convert my armies to the large unit size in a decade or so, but when I actually trained these guys they came out as the normal unit size, despite what the pre-training unit sheets said.
So, I was wondering if there was any way to get around this and actually pull off a midgame unit size switch, besides starting a new campaign.

There's a save-game editing tool that lets you do it, but it's risky.

Thanks. Risky as in possibly game breaking? And how do you access/edit the save game?

So, any ideas?
well there is one... but I haven't tried it on EB only whit RTW vanilla but its not risky at all so why don't make a try

(it doesnt hurt either to make a backup of your saved files c\\:programfiles\Activision\Rome - Total War\EB)
so if I remember right , you need to browse the desired save file and select the changes to be made , you clic start and then paste the resulting file among the others
open EB and load the file you pasted...
hope it works :2thumbsup:

I'd just say you are stuck with your unit size. The info screens will say what unit size you have it set to, but your campaign will actually (in all ways) be the unit size you started it as.
