Ok not sure this is the right place but anyway,

I got the retail version (european) of Medieval total war 2 and it saids on steam that kingdoms will work with the retail or the steam version but when you go to Medieval on steam it saids that you need to buy medieval the as you did with kingdoms? Seems like a bit of a contradiction, so anyone know what the deal is?
Am i better off getting it retail? will things like modding be un-do-able with the steam version?

Cheers,
TheCount

I'm about to take the retail version back for a refund for a number of reasons. Personally I wish I had the Steam version now but the internet connection here isn't fast enough.

Sorry... I don't know the answer to your question.

I bought M2TW and Kingdoms retail because I have control over the dvds. Kingdoms dvds needs M2TW dvds. Kingdoms
Steam needs M2TW Steam. Kingdoms d2d needs M2TW d2d. No matter what anybody says or what is posted on websites any other combination is not compatible.
Keep in mind there is no Kingdoms update for Steam.
