Option to view the entire strategic map?

I usually end up stationing emissaries all across the strategic map just so I can see who controls which regions. It is interesting to see regions change hands, factions get wiped out, rebellions and civil war breakout. Seeing what goes on in those regions is pretty cool and makes the AI come alive for me. It is really a shame that there is no option to "show all" on the strategic map.
