got all my armies chock-full of billmen, is it worth replacing them with halberdiers?

no - I prefer billmen as I recall they're faster too.

na billmen are the best, by far my favorite unit they take on anything and put up a good fight, well except jannissery infantry but who beats them http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Bills are faster, cheaper, have better offense, better morale, and they also have a more fomal name: "Williams".

Why didn't anyone ever come up with a weapon called a "Bob"?

Billies are the schiznit. But they only really start to rock when they are tooled up with heavy armour.

Halbs have to low of moral to be useful for anything.

Bills are Milita Serg, slightly modded, and given bonus attacking calv. They're not that hot either, espically on defense....

Billmen have good morale but i found when i bought them as mercaneries that they die very fast.

I tend to use Billmen for attacking and Halberdiers for defence. Halberdiers are too slow for an attacking army and I find I have to wait for them to take their position.
