hey quick question, I know you need Vanilla Rome to play EB, BI and Alexander, but do you need BI to play Alexander? Just wonderign because i wouldnt play on any of the original games, only EB, so dont want unneccessary memory clutter.

and BI offers several thing that alex doesn't...
the EB related things that appear in BI but not in Alex are:
No shield wall formation
No swiming
No Warcry
The naval invasions are more frecuent...but I bealive they are annoying after a while since they usually are really small armies (2-3 units) and usually appear at random places, in alex , it seems that naval invasions are more "organized"
Honestly I dont know a lot of BI.exe I think you should ask Ferromancer, he's the one who made the BI for EB pack

Actually, I use ALEX and I have warcry working...
shield-wall is not so important, but swimming seems great, because we could use some diversive tactics in bridge battles, instead of exploiting the AI idiocy to win as usual..
Curious, would it be possible to add in Shield-wall/warcry for Alex?

If you can decompile and edit assembly-level code to modify the unit behavior and AI then sure. Otherwise, no.

The AI in BI does not drop just 2-3 units off of boats. I saw a Roman city in Sardinia surrounded by at least 3 full stacks of Carthaginian units. Playing as Arverni, I had the Carthaginians land full stacks in Northern Iberia, Massalia, and Rome.

I didn't anything like that but warcry works on my ALEX game. I mean, when I click the icon of William Wallace, my unit cry in it's proper language (ALALALAI!!!) and charge, I didn't check if the bonus is properly added, but why shouldn't?
the warcry is cognate to what screaming women do in rome total war vanilla. thus it is my opinion that warcry is thus enabled for all 3 of the .exe files. I dunno for sure :juggle2:
