I have a clean RTW 1,5.... When I go to execute downloading EB it tells me/warns me not to download into program files.... Where do i download EB to get it to work?.....
If I'm not wrong... as long as you play as an administrator it should work...
however... I've installed it in several computers and I can play with no-administrator accounts
just be sure to use the folder where you have RTW and/or BI and/or Alexander
Although you might as well wait till someone more qualified answers hehe:sweatdrop:

It is a Windows Vista problem. If you are not using Windows Vista, don't worry about it.
If you are using Windows Vista, it is advisable to uninstall RTW and install it to a location that isn't under the "Program Files" directory, then install EB on top of that. The particular location doesn't matter, as long as it is not under "Program Files".
You do not have to do this, however you may experience problems with you install at a later date if you install under the "Program Files" directory while using Windows Vista.

Why would you install anything that isn't an application in Program Files anyway? At the very least don't you have a separate games folder?

Buddy when half the questions on this forum come from people who can't use a self extracting archive/automatic installer I think you'll be banging your head against a brick wall when it comes to spreading the virtues of directory management :laugh4:

My comment wasn't directed at you, just the forum-goers here in general if that's what you think ;)
And trust me mate I feel you, I must have aged a few years during all the RTW/EB reinstalls I've done :laugh4:
I think MAA's reply should have answered your original question, anything else let us know:2thumbsup:

Thanks for the understanding... OK... Here's what happened... I downloaded it into my Activision program file where my Rome total war file is: here's the error message I get: "execution of command 'Rome TW.exp~mod: eb~show-error' failed (error 2: the system cannot find the file specified)
OK... guys, let me have it what did I do wrong here... I run Windows XP too.... Thanks for the help.... I am guessing I should have put this in my Rome Total war File?,,,,,

The initial load time can take a while. Just give it time and it will load.

Indeed mine takes a good five minutes to get to the main menu, but it's definitely doing stuff.
