Hello guys.

I'm member of the Battles of Kingdoms Development Team. Our mod is for BI 1.6, focused on the Medieval Era. This mod is only for custom battles, we aren't making a campaign.

We have the Chivalry: Total War's permission to use the battlemap buildings they have made for European Factions.

Because ChivTW and our mod are both on BI 1.6, I was wondering if it's possible to erase the buildings's files, settlements plans and .txt of vanilla by those from ChivTW, without edit them...

Do you think it will work ? Anyway I hope that some people here will help me in adding these buildings.

Thank you all.

depends....

If they have buildings with new names at the export_descr_buildings.txt level you'll need to edit to merge the mods. (as you'll want any building capabilities and recruitment of units in that file to be specific to your mod)

If they haven't altered anything at that level you might have more luck. Check though that neither your mod or theirs introduced a new culture - some bits are culture specific, and references to a non-existant culture or missing a plan for one will mess things up. Also did they change buildings for cultures you want to stay the same? That might take some unravelling.

You'll need their descr_items.txt, items.db file and items folder as well btw, unless you're re-making those.

I don't want any building capabilities or recruitment of units, because our mod is focused on custom battles, we aren't making a campaign. The only thing we want is these buildings appear in the battlemap.

I think I can keep the same cultures than them, there is no problem because it won't affect the custom battles.

Do you know please what files I must to take to erase ?
