How can I move my siege after my troops are placed at the beginning of the battle?

I position the re-inforcement flag where I want it, but they still come in from off the map at the very back. Why? And then what does the re-inforcement flag do?

Thanks all.

i'm not entirely clear on what you mean, but if i read it properly you wan tot move your siege engines. Well you can't, just position them wisely at the begginning, i.e. you can select the unit and see what it acn hit, by placing the cursor over a wall/tower and seeing if you get a green arrow. The re-inforcement flag is a rallying point for your re-inforcements, i.e. they will come in from the map edge and walk to the flag. When they reach it they will be under your control to kill as you see fit.

Move your siege; I don't understand. The flag tells them where to go. Maybe you shouldn't attack that castle if you need that many troops.

You can tell them to run to the flag. This is where I'd like the ability to attack my own troops if they only want to walk into battle, especially one where I need help fast.

If you're talking about bringing siege engines in as reinforcements, you can't move them. If you want to use siege engines in a battle, you need to make sure they are in your initial unit deployment or they will be relegated to only being on the edge when they do come in.

You can position/re-position your siege weapons before starting the battle (both defense and offense). After that siege weapons can't be moved. It's good idea to have all siege weapons in the starting line up if possible.

The flag acts as an assembly point where your reinforcement troops will rally. Move the flag to move the rally point. However, all reinforcement troops will have to walk into the battle area from the edge of the map on the side where you originally start the battle (no matter where the flag or your general is).

I am talking about when a battle first starts. My seige is placed on the battle field with the rest of my troops. How do I move the siege the first time to someplace useful? Like in bridge engagements, my troops may be place WAYYYYY back on a hill but I would like my siege up by the river, how do I move them there? Thanks.

You can place them initially in your deployment area, but they cannot move at all after that.

Siege engines are the only units that can be repositioned before the battle whether as the attacker or defender. Simply select it and reposition it as you would any other unit. Use the click and drag feature to make sure it is facing the right direction (only really applies to siege engines such as mangonels which cannot turn), and finally you cannot deploy outside your fenced off deployment zone.
I reckon that covers it.

Ahhhhhh, thanks. It is the fenced off deployment area that I wasn't getting.
