I'm pretty sure that, unless you have one of those newfangled dual core computers, the heat and pressure on the system would cause your computer to explode.

And that's if the game even allows it to begin with. It's something I have never tried.

Your computer sure as hell wouldn't heat and "pressure" up and explode:laugh4:

And running it twice on the same operating system doesn't work, just try it. You'll get an RTW error message stating that "Another instance of Rome: Total War is already running. This instance of Rome will now exit." (Header says "CA_LIBS")
Seems pretty much hardcoded to me...:smash:

Solution - 1. Install RTW 2. Go to the RTW folder and right-click 3. Copy 4. Paste 5. Rename "Copy" Europa Barbarorum Redux 6. Install EB using your new "Redux" folder 7. Modify target line in EB shortcut to ping the RTW executable in your redux folder 8. Voila! You're running EB and RTW. :juggle2:

Could do it with virtual machine or something but....why?

actually, you can do that without all this BS: there is a command line you add to the destination folder (or target) that can do what you want (what the exact order is you have to find). you add it after the show-err blah blah blah stuf (the same option you use to make EB run on BI).
EDIT: got it (actually, all the command lines):
show_err: This one is commonly known. It basically shows scripting errors of all sorts.
gs_join:Brings up the Gamespy join menu in RTW.
gs_host:Brings up the Gamespy host menu in RTW.
gs_lan: Brings up the lan menu in RTW.
gs_game_password: Brings up the game password menu in RTW.
gs_group_room: Yeah...just like the previous ones.
gs_chat_name: Didn't really check that one.
battle_ed: Brings up the unfinished battle editor on startup.
strat: Loads a campaign directly. It loads the Imperial Campaign when no options are set. To set a campaign, type strat:[campaign_name]
battle: Loads a battle, to use it, type battle:
[B]multirun: Lets you run R:TW more than once
mod: No idea.
bookmark: No idea.
disr: No idea.
fplog: Not quite sure, but fp stands for "floating point".
fperr: Brings up an error message(example)
fpex: Not too sure, fperr seems to bug the game good without it(no way to get back to desktop)
util(Must supply options for utility mode): Use it as util:option. The possible options are sound, animdb, encrypt, unit_models.
blank_ui_caches: No idea.
force_default_hz: No idea.
na: No audio.
nm: No movies.
no_tnl: Haven't tested that one(though tnl is part of the graphics aspect of the game).
ae: No idea.
ne: Not full screen.
sw: Sounds only, no graphics at all.

I know the computer wouldn't explode. I was joking.

But seriously, why would you want or need to run EB and RTW both at the same time?

mod: No idea.
-mod:[folder_name] runs RTW from a so-called mod folder. Is how you run EB.

blank_ui_caches: No idea.
Likely caches the UI cards/elements; instead of reloading the files into memory and dumping them when no longer needed. Part of a speed/memory trade-off I guess. :juggle:
