Playing as the native factions in the game, i know the natives cant build boats to attack Cuba, which makes Cuba probably invincible for invasion:wall: although i could attempt to buy it, it'll way to difficult to quell disorder. But recently i was thinking, could i bribe a european fleet and use that to invade?

There is absolutely no bribing of fleet possible in M2TW...
Diplomats just can't reach them...
Sorry...

in my venice campaign, i thought i saw the diplomacy cursor when i moused it to a milanese ship on shore i cant remember but there might be an milanese army next to it. But i believe i moused the cursor directly over the ship

I don't think that's possible, as I said earlier but would love to be proven wrong...

You can only bribe units that your faction can train. Since natives can't train ships they can't bribe them.

Every single unit can be bribed but only those recruitable by your faction will join you... But ships are never bribable whether you can recruit them or not...

I noticed once I told a diplomat to go talk to another factions army. But it would have taken him several turns to reach them. Strangely, the little movement arrow still pointed to that army when it was on board a ship at the coast at the start of my turn. But the ship sailed away before my diplomat reached it. If the ship hadn't moved, I wonder if he could have talked to the army of board and bribed the fleet along with it...

He wouldn't have been able to conduct any business with the on-board units...
Ships are perfect safeguards for a Family members if you have naval superiority... they are out of reach of any any kind of agents (assassin, diplomat...)
btw, does anybody know of a way to bring the fight to Cuba as a native faction ?
Seeing that it is the Capital of the Conquistadores, there is no hope of buying it from them, so there is really no way to destroy the Spanish faction... They will keep coming...

You make a sacrifice to Quetzalcoatl and He shall move_character your armies to Cuba!
What a lovely IC excuse for a cheat :clown:

The only way I have found to get Cuba when playing as Native American is to swap for a province on the mainland.
Give / sell them a province far to the west of the map. This will induce them to move their capital from Cuba. Then swap another of your provinces for Cuba.
This is costly and holding on to Cuba can be difficult, but it can be done.
You can then take back these provinces on the mainland at your leasure:pirate2:

wat happens if u capture a spanish city with a port, will it become yours? again, referring to my venetian vanilla campaign again, i went on a crusade to jerusalem and when i captured it, a racetrack built by the egyptians was there and i was allowed to set the frequency for the horse races once the city fell into my hands. but onlymuslims could build those facilities. so i wonder if the same applies to ports when u capture it from spain
My guess is, you will get the trade bonus from the port, but you still won't be able to build ships. That's what happens when you capture a racetrack-you get the happiness bonus, but you can't train Sipahis/Granadine Jinettes.

The port gets destroyed when you capture the city... Much like Masjid/Churches when you are of a different religion than the city you capture...

No. There are no mercenary ships in the mercenary pool. There is simply no way to get to Cuba as a native faction other than the region exchange trick.
