Helvetii Phalanx not recruitable for Sweboz?

I just wonder, in my Sweboz game i was only able to hire the Helvetii Phalanx once in the beginning (2 units).
new units never showed up after that for recruiting, except as eleutheroi brigands.

of course, i have conquered all provinces around the alps and installed my governments. does the abiltiy of hiring the Helvetii Phalanx Mercenaries depend on the type of government, faction or buildings present in the alpine region?

You need a level 4 local MIC *which itself needs a type 3 or type 4 government* in the Aventicos *Helvetis is the province* to get them as the Sweboz. That's an expansion province for the Sweboz, so you might have a type 2 government there, so you wouldn't be able to build the local MIC up enough to get them.

Ah, thank you very much Fondor. so i´ll then change the local government in Aventicos, good to know.

after all, the Helvetii Phalanx seems to be the best defensive unit available in Europe, even better than the Speutogardoz or Alpine Phalanx. i had multiple bridge battles where i defended the bridge against massive Aedui armies attacking me and so far the two initial Helvetii Phalanx units i recruited at the start stood their ground every time, letting nothing past that bridge and allthough i am now down to one unit with 60 soldiers, this unit has 2 silver chevrons and is a true wall against which wave after wave of enemy units clash, almost able to hold that passage alone against a whole army!

i definitely need them for regular recruiting, it´s a bit tedious to always bring up fresh Speutogardoz from my home provinces across the alps to northern italy.
