I have made the Roman Brutii,Julii,Scipii and S.P.Q.R. into 1 faction(the Julii) and the settlements are losing money, by -500 to -2000. What do i do?
I notice in the descr_regions.txt it has:
Latium
Rome
macedon
Latins
52 13 198
slaves, dogs, pigs, rome, italy
5
8
What does the 5,8 mean at the bottom?
A descr_regions entry consists of these:
region tag
settlement tag
default culture tag
rebel tribe
map RGB value
comma-separated resource list
triumph point value
base farm level
What you need to do is either give them better starting buildings in these regions, or give Romans more starting money, or give them have fewer starting units or make buildings give more bonuses (not recommended). Also note (in case u don't know) that settlements NEVER generate negative money. They always make a profit, but they also have to pay a part of the faction's total support costs, according to their population, so what you see on-screen is the combination of these two. i you want to see a settlement's pure income, use the settlement details scroll.

what is triumph point value and RGB value?:help:
RGB value is the rgb value of the region in map_regions.tga. No idea what triump value is, my guess is that it's a number of points awarded for controlling that region.

I think the triumph points are redundant in terms of affecting game play, but just necessary to have some entry there for the format of the file.....
